SRSAC, Arunachal Pradesh, receives GEOSPATIAL APPLICATION EXCELLENCE AWARD

State Remote Sensing Application Centre of Arunachal Pradesh and Department of Planning and Finance has been conferred with the prestigious “Geospatial Application Excellence Award” for conceptualizing and designing a Satellite-based Monitoring system to keep track of all the developmental project in Arunachal Pradesh. The Award was received by Dr. H. Dutta, Director of SRSAC, Shri Tana Tage,Joint Director of SRSAC and Shri Mokir Ori, Director of Dept Planning (Monitoring) from former RBI Deputy Governor Usha Thorat and former Kadastre Chair (Netherland) Dorine Burmanje. The project was launched by CM, Pema Khandu last year on 9th June 2019 which was successfully and officially implanted on 19th Feb 2019. This project was designed with the motive to monitor and keep track all the developmental projects in the State to bring about transparency and corruption-free execution of projects with a focused theme of “Arunachal Pradesh-No longer remote with satellite-based remote sensing technology”. Chief Minister Pema Khandu, left a congratulatory message to both SRSAC and the Department of Finance and Planning on his social media handle for making the State proud and bringing laurel to the State.
