This far eastern Indian states like Arunachal Pradesh is predominantly an agrarian society, whose 80% GDP depends on agri-horti sectors. In order to ensure sustainable development and inclusive social growth, the State Remote Sensing Application Centre, (SRSAC) Arunachal Pradesh provides emergent geospatial technologies using GIS, Remote Sensing, Earth Observatory platform based on AI, ML etc to render “Decision Support Systems” to various line departments, which is vital to monitor the overall health of agricultural and horticultural sectors. It becomes important to monitor crop with other socio-economic indicators, such as crop acreage, transportation facility, storage facility and other dimensions etc. to address issues pertaining to these sectors. Hence, we are providing the latest technologies in agriculture to enhance its production and also help decision makers to take quick and robust decisions. Thus, space-based technology along with GIS integration is an integral part for these sectors.
