State Remote Sensing Application Centre (SRSAC), Itanagar is a repository of huge spatial thematic database of the state like land use/land cover, forest, drainage, settlement, administrative boundaries, slope and elevation, soil, hydrogeomorphology etc. Also, a vast resource of satellite images, Digital Elevation Models (DEM), Survey of India toposheets and many geo-rectified maps are available in the Centre. The Centre is well equipped with high end machines like plotter, scanner, workstations, servers, data storage devices and RS-GIS, photogrammetry and image processing softwares. Centre is providing services to the state by analyzing existing database and maps/images in various GIS & photogrammetric softwares to prepare various action plans and to solve different complex problems of the state. It has been providing single window geospatial support services from time to time to various departments (both central and state government organizations), NGOs, individuals, public leaders, DCs, BDOs, Circle officers, DRDA officials, teachers and students of colleges and universities.
